Meeting Minutes

5th March 2023 meeting open 10:00am

Membership
A vote was taken on whether to set prices at £20 adult and £10 children or £10 adult and £5 children. The lower prices were voted to be set especially in the current financial climate and as fundraising events will be the main income for the supporters club.

Admin
We discussed spending that required reimbursement, and this was agreed by the committee.
Other spending on items which were classed as voluntary contributions were discussed so we have an idea of possible yearly outgoings. We checked the suggested membership card with test name on and was agreed to be the card for the upcoming season. Our small lottery license has been applied for at £40 for the initial year. There is a form to complete after each ‘game of chance’. We will check to ensure we can email the form to save on postage.  It was discussed that any ‘event’ can be researched by an individual and then suggested to the committee to vote on whether to proceed.  All potential events will be kept within the committee until agreed upon.
Unfortunately, John Middleton is having to step back as a full member of the committee due to work commitments but will still be involved with the committee in an advisory role.

Fundraising
We discussed our main priority for fundraising which was to enhance the matchday experience by providing flags for mascots etc for when the team enter the pitch.  We discussed flag design – mainly blue and white various designs and plain blue and white.  We discussed the size and quantity of flags as well as how to display/mount as well as the need to store them and also provide sanitizer. We will be looking to find out which items the club will not be selling going forward so we can investigate producing supporters club versions.  We are going to investigate with the club the option of having a centre circle flag. We are looking to plan our next event which hopefully will be a Q&A evening in association with John Middleton, we will be looking at options for the venue, ticket prices and food options once we have a guest secured.  We will run bingo and or raffle to raise more funds, and also look at the possibility of sponsorship of the event.

A.O.B
We agreed that once established we should be looking to do more charitable work such as charity nights, food bank etc. We have been informed that the FSA could assist with grants for diversity events/items
